In May 2023, we, together with volunteers from KomandaEX, organised the exhibition “Bakhmut Fortress” at the National Museum of History of Ukraine.
Bakhmut is a symbol of Ukrainian will and resilience. The fighting for this settlement has been going on since the summer of 2022 and has become the bloodiest in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The city has suffered an incredible amount of shelling, bombing and losses, there is no living place on it, it hurts, but it still holds on.
It is a city where many people lost their families, friends and loved ones, and Ukraine lost brave soldiers who will always remain in our hearts. It is a city that deserves respect for its courage and endurance. It is a city that we must always remember and honour.
All the items presented at the exhibition were handed over to the volunteers by the soldiers of the 93rd separate mechanised brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” and the 30th separate mechanised brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi, who are defending the Bakhmut direction.
